Hey guys, i-i-i-i'm back! Today, is our second last day in Florrence. :(

...

But who cares about that, eh? So, today, when we woke up I got to have breakfest here. There was hot chocolate, juice, chocolate-croisants, small crunchy bread thingeys WITH NUTELLA... it was just, simply, amazing. Anyways, after breakfest, we all went to go to the Uffizi museum. It was a very nice place, and I enjoyed it alot. It had alot of famous paintings there. I thought we stayed a little bit too long though, but it was still alright. After the museum, we were all really hungry, so we decided to go to a resturant. I had pork chops with Balsamic vinegar and rosemary. It was unlike anything I had any tasted before, and I liked it alot. After we had our lunch, we all went out for a gelato. I couldn't find any nutella ice cream, so instead I had pistachio-flavoured ice cream. It (obviously) wasn't as good as Nutella ice cream, but it was still very good. After, the ice cream, we went to go look around the town. We saw this one tower that has 425 steps, I think, and we wanted to climb it, but it's not open today, so maybe we will have better luck tomorrow. Then, we came back and stayed around the hotel room for a while. Then, we decided to go out and we went to go out to a resturant for supper, and I had a pepperoni pizza. It was very good. Then we came back and went to sleep.

So, yeah, that's pretty much what happened. NEW BLOG ENTRY (might be) COMING SOON

Florrence- at last!

Today, we went had to wake up really early, because we had to catch the train to Florrence. Our train ride was long, but also very enjoyable. I slept for a lot of the train ride, but I also spent alot of time catching up on my homework. When we finally got off the train, we were in Florrence. We tried to get into our hotel, but there was no one there. It took us some time, we had to wait for like half an hour, but they finally let us in. It's a nice hotel room we're staying in, even if it is just one room for all four of us. Anyways, so after we got our stuff set up, we went downtown to look around. We went into a museum where we saw, among others, the famous statue of David by Michealangelo. It was really big, and looked extremely lifelike. After the museum, we went around the town and we looked for a resturant. On the way, we found a CD store and I got the albums Piece of Mind by Iron Maiden and Paranoid by Black Sabbath, both for just five euros each! After I got my CDs, we found a resturant. I had pork chops. It was very good. After the resturant we walked around town looking for a gelato place, but we couldn't find any. Oh, well.

...

Also, before I went to bed, I watched The Fairly Oddparents in ITALIAN!

How cool is that?

Last Day in Rome

Today is our last day in Rome. I am very sad, but it's alright, because we are going to be leaving to go to Florrence tomorrow! Anyways, after we woke up, we went to go to a cafe for a hot chocolate (and a capuccino for my mom). Then I went and walked around town with my mom and my sister, while my dad stayed home and slept. When we came back, we went to go to a resturant for lunch. I had my last octopus salad. It was very good. Then we split up. My mom and my sister just went around town shopping, while me and my dad went to go to an internet cafe, where I wrote some blog entries and listened to music on YouTube, while my dad checked his e-mail. After that, we went to go back to the fountain place we were at yesterday. We also got some pizza and a gelato (my last Nutella ice cream, I was very sad). Also, on our way back, I got my first souvenirs from Italy: a "Homer Godfather" T-shirt, and a Pink Floyd CD, A Saucerful of Secrets. Almost as soon as we came back to the apartment, my mom and my sister came back like two seconds later. Then, we decided to go out to a Snack Bar to eat for our last night in Rome. It was very good. I can't wait for the morning.

Today I slept in until 9:30 AM. After I woke up, we decided to go around town looking around at stuff. We went to a lot more of museums and churches full of paintings. We also went to go see the coliseum, which was extremely humongous and cool. We also went to a restaurant, where I had the greatest steak I have ever tasted. It’s still not as great as Subway or Nutella Ice Cream, but it is still incredibly great. I also accidentally locked myself in the washroom, but that, as they say, is a story for another time. We also went into a record store that sold vinyl and had, among other things, a lot of interesting and rare Pink Floyd bootlegs, but as we don’t have a turntable, we didn’t buy any of them. It was still, nonetheless, impressive. We also went into the Pantheon, which was quite an interesting building. It’s apparently the most well-preserved ancient religious building around today. It was also interesting because at the top of the building there is a hole on the top of the building that never closes, and always lets rain in. However, on the inside of the building, they have drains on the bottom of the floor, so that the place never gets damaged. After that, we got a little bit lost on the way back to the apartment, but all that matters is that we finally got back and I had a Nutella-flavoured gelato.

Vacation City

Hey guys, i-i-i-i-it’s Ty-Ty! Today we went to go see Vatican City (or as my sister calls it “vacation city”). We went to go see the museum they had there. The paintings were pretty cool, but I think we stayed there a little bit too long. After going to ‘vacation city’, my dad had to go to his conference. While my dad was at his conference, my mom and my sister still wanted to go out looking at paintings and shopping and stuff, but that didn’t really interest me that much, so I stayed in the apartment alone for about two hours. During that time, I was mainly listening to music and getting some of my homework done. When my mom and my sister came back, we all just basically stayed around and rested for a while, waiting for my dad to get back. It was late when my dad came back, but when he came back we all went to have some gelato. (Oh, and by the way, forget what I ever said about Spongebob or white chocolate, NUTELLA ice cream is where it’s at.)

New Entry COMING SOON!
